Enrolment information

Step 1:
Send an Enquiry & Book a Tour

The first step to joining Gumnuts is to send an enquiry and book a tour with our team. Visiting the centre is the best way to experience our warm and welcoming environment, explore our facilities, meet our educators, and learn more about our programs, daily routines, and available care options.

Our team will be happy to answer any questions you have and help you determine whether Gumnuts is the right fit for your family.

Step 2:
Enrol or Join the Waitlist

After your tour, you can complete an enrolment form for either an immediate start or to secure a place on our waitlist for a future commencement date.

Within the enrolment form, you will be asked to provide your child's birth certificate and immunisation record. Both documents must be received before care can commence.

Please ensure that both your details and your child's details - including full names, dates of birth, and Centrelink Customer Reference Numbers (CRNs) - are entered correctly, as these must match Centrelink records for Child Care Subsidy (CCS) to be applied.

Please allow up to 2 weeks for the enrolment process to be completed and up to 6 weeks for CCS approval. If you do not yet have a CRN, this can be added later once your Centrelink enrolment has been finalised.

Child Care Subsidy (CCS)

The Child Care Subsidy (CCS) is a Government subsidy for families to reduce their childcare fees. The subsidy rate you are entitled to is determined by a combination of:

  • An activity test

  • An income test

  • The maximum hourly rate cap for Centre-based daycare

You must also meet residency and immunisation requirements to be eligible to receive the CCS.

The subsidy is paid directly to the Centre and Gumnuts will invoice you for the difference in cost, or ‘gap fee’.

If you wish to receive Child Care Subsidy, you will need to apply through the Centrelink section of your MyGov account.

Immunisation Requirements

In accordance with the Public Health Act 2016, all children enrolled in an early childhood education and care service must be up to date with the immunisation schedule provided through the National Immunisation Program (NIP), unless they have an approved exemption.

Evidence of your child's immunisation status must be provided prior to enrolment being confirmed and must be kept current throughout their time at Gumnuts, in line with the recommended immunisation schedule.
